Join our team as a mechanic with Transervice Logistics providing fleet maintenance at the Kroger Distribution Center in Louisville, KY. In this role, you will be responsible for performing preventive maintenance and repairs on a large fleet of over-the-road tractors and trailers. As a valued member of our maintenance team, you will play a key role in supporting a critical logistics operation while working in a challenging and rewarding environment with opportunities for growth and professional development.
Key Responsibilities for Diesel Mechanic/Technician
- Perform all preventive maintenance inspections, state and federal safety inspections, and repairs in accordance with DOT requirements
- Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment issues, including hydraulics, engines, transmissions, air and hydraulic systems, tires, drive-train, steering, suspension, electrical, and A/C
- Maintain and repair tractors, trailers, refrigeration systems (Thermo King and/or Carrier preferred), and Material Handling Equipment (MHE)
- Evaluate and repair tractors, and trailers
- Ensure all repairs are complete and equipment is work-ready
- Maintain safety and cleanliness of the work environment
- Complete required documentation and maintain accurate records
- 2nd or 3rd shift

- Certification from a diesel mechanic trade schoolorminimum 5 years of diesel mechanic experience
- Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
- Knowledge of hydraulics and electrical systems
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Own set of tools required
- Ability to read, write, and speak English; basic math skills
- Must pass pre-employment drug screen and background check
- ASE and/or manufacturer certifications
- Paccar experience
- Thermo King and/or Carrier refrigeration experience
- Crown forklift experience
- CDL license preferred
