The Director of Procurement & Asset Management is responsible for leading the procurement & asset management function across transportation and maintenance operations. This role ensures strategic sourcing, cost optimization, vendor performance, and compliance with regulatory and company standards. The Director of Procurement & Asset Management will collaborate cross-functionally to support fleet operations, manage equipment lifecycle, and drive continuous improvement in procurement processes and technologies.

- Lead procurement activities including sourcing, negotiating, and contracting for transportation and maintenance-related goods and services.
- Track equipment delivery and service readiness. Manage process for: license, title, and permitting, postproduction/upfitting, and all other aspects of equipment readiness to provide detailed "Not Yet Earning" reporting and visibility to executive leadership for all pre 'in-Service' status equipment.
- Develop optimized equipment sales strategies on an ongoing basis that will maximize the companies return on investment for outgoing equipment
- Develop detailed and effective reporting and analysis to accurately forecast the company's exposure to outgoing equipment sales inclusive of real-time market analysis and progressive equipment sales outlet opportunities
- Directly manage the entire process of outgoing equipment sales to include equipment prep and deidentification process ensuring equipment is in proper surrender condition, management of damage and repairs, removal of onboard computer/ELD/Cameras and other postproduction items, positioning of equipment. Provide detailed tracking and reporting for real-time status
- Manage a network of wholesalers, auctions, online and live outlets for equipment sales, providing oversight to the entire process from bid to funds received.
- Manage and oversee the equipment titling process including housing of all equipment titles in a secure fireproof storage within one of the Transervice corporate offices (NY or Chicago)
- Establish and manage detailed catalogue of equipment titles, their respective ownership and lien status, and post-sale requirements for title management
- Administer parts purchasing, fuel contracts and card programs, fuel tax, Personal Property Tax, vehicle registration, toll programs, and other transportation-related services.
- Oversee and manage IRP plating process for all Transervice DCC operations (owned) power equipment
- Oversee and manage toll transponders for all corporate/company cars and field equipment
- Oversee and manage relationship with third party equipment leasing company for all company cars
- Oversee and manage Transervice company car/allowance program
- Develop progressive strategies for Transervice company car/allowance program to include annual equipment selector, guidance on third party equipment lease options for Executive Team, and field service vehicles/equipment
- Develop and implement purchasing strategies to meet business goals, reduce costs, and mitigate supply chain risks.
- Manage preferred vendor relationships, establish KPIs and SLAs, and ensure consistent performance.
- Oversee vehicle specifications and purchasing (tractors, trailers), including lease and rental agreements.
- Coordinate installation of customer-specific equipment (telematics, cameras, decals) and ensure timely execution with vendors.
- collaborate with Finance on documentation and coordination for equipment purchases and leases.
- Partner with fleet, operations, and maintenance teams to forecast needs and ensure resource availability.
- Drive process improvements and technology adoption (e.g., ERP systems, procurement platforms).
- Ensure compliance with internal policies, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices.
- Monitor market trends to anticipate pricing shifts, supply chain disruptions, emerging technologies, and evolving environmental regulations that may impact procurement and fleet operations.
- Prepare and manage departmental budgets, track savings, and report on performance metrics.
- Facilitate vendor onboarding and support new customer startup initiatives.
- Attend trade shows annually to remain current with relevant and emerging technologies and trends in the equipment and fleet management space

Pay Range: 125000.00-140000.00 per_year, General Benefits: Benefits
Qualifications Director Procurement:
- Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, Business Administration, or related field; MBA or relevant certification (e.g., CPM, CPSM) preferred.
- Minimum 7-10 years of purchasing experience with at least 3 years in a leadership role, ideally within the transportation or logistics industry.
- Strong negotiation, contract management, and vendor relationship skills.
- In-depth understanding of fleet operations and the supply chain of transportation equipment and services.
- Proficiency in procurement systems, Microsoft Office, and data analysis tools.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and project management abilities.
- Experience with national and regional sourcing for parts, fuel, vehicles, and transportation services.
- Knowledge of DOT compliance and industry regulations related to fleet and vendor operations.
- Familiarity with ERP or fleet maintenance systems (e.g., TMT, Oracle, SAP, TMW, or similar platforms).
