Senior Director, Strategic Operations & Business Integration
The Senior Director, Strategic Operations & Business Integration is responsible for leading the execution of high-impact, cross-functional initiatives across the organization, with primary focus on new business startups, enterprise project leadership, operational integration, and process institutionalization.Reporting directly to the COO, this role serves as a key operational leader and central coordination pointbetween Operations, Sales, Finance, Procurement, HR, and Executive Leadership, ensuring strategicinitiatives are executed with discipline, accountability, consistency, and speed.This role provides enterprise oversight of strategic projects, operational governance, and cross-functionalexecution while driving standardized processes, scalable operational frameworks, and continuousimprovement initiatives across the organization. This role plays a critical part in aligning operationalexecution, commercial commitments, and financial objectives to support sustainable growth and operational excellence.Core Responsibilities
New Business Startups (Flagship Responsibility)
Own execution of new customer implementations and operational startups across all business lines
Optimize startup playbooks and processes
Coordinate across operations, finance, procurement, HR, and leadership to ensure seamless launches
Drive enterprise accountability to meet startup timelines, service expectations, and financial targets
Lead post-startup reviews to identify gaps and implement continuous improvement
Enterprise Project Leadership & execution
Establish and enforce enterprise project management discipline, including planning frameworks,milestone tracking, risk management, and execution accountability
Lead and provide governance over cross-functional strategic initiatives impacting operations, fleet,customer accounts, and enterprise performance
Serve as the senior escalation point for complex operational, startup, and execution-related challenges
Drive alignment across departments on scope, timelines, deliverables, priorities, and accountability
Establish operating rhythms, governance cadences, and execution visibility for enterprise initiatives
Identify and proactively resolve execution risks, escalating critical issues as needed
Support executive leadership through operational analysis, initiative tracking, and cross-functionalcoordination
Process Excellence & Operational Scalability
Lead enterprise standardization initiatives across operational and administrative workflows
Drive continuous improvement initiatives utilizing Lean/Six Sigma methodologies and processdiscipline
Develop scalable operational frameworks, SOPs, governance models, and execution standards acrossbusiness functions
Identify operational inefficiencies, execution gaps, and process risks, implementing sustainablecorrective actions
Partner cross-functionally to improve organizational efficiency, accountability, consistency, andscalability
Establish standardized reporting, KPI visibility, and operational performance tracking mechanisms suchas customer facing dashboards and reporting tools
Promote a culture of operational excellence, continuous improvement, and execution discipline acrossthe organization
Operational Governance
Ensure alignment between contractual commitments, operational execution, and financialperformance
Provide governance over operational compliance, and revenue protection initiatives
Lead cross-functional coordination between Operations, Finance, Sales, and Procurement to ensureconsistency and integrity of contractual execution
Oversee governance processes supporting pricing alignment, operational & billing accountability
Drive root-cause analysis and corrective action implementation for recurring operational orcommercial discrepancies
Operational Coordination & Standards
Drive consistency in execution across locations through standardized processes and playbooks
Ensure effective coordination between field operations and corporate functions
Support development and visibility of KPIs, reporting, and performance tracking
Identify and implement opportunities for process improvement, efficiency, and scalabilityTeam Leadership & Development
Foster a culture of accountability, process discipline, operational excellence, and continuousimprovement
Mentor and develop team capabilities in project leadership, operational execution, processimprovement, and cross-functional coordination
Lead and develop a team responsible for project execution, analytics coordination, customerdashboards, and administrative operations
Establish clear priorities, roles, and expectations aligned with company objectives
Ensure team operates with high levels of organization, accountability, and responsiveness

Qualifications
8-12+ years of experience in transportation, logistics, or complex operational environments
Lean Six Sigma certification and/or comparable process improvement leadership required
Experience institutionalizing scalable operational processes across multi-site environments
Strong background in operational governance, continuous improvement, and project execution
Demonstrated ability to lead through influence within matrixed operational environments
Proven experience leading cross-functional projects and large-scale implementations
Strong understanding of contract structures, billing alignment, and operational implications
Demonstrated ability to lead through influence and coordination across multiple functions
Experience managing teams responsible for project execution and operational support
Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication and stakeholder management capabilities
Experience in asset-based transportation, fleet operations, or logistics strongly preferred
