Duties & Responsibilities
Starting Pay $33.00++, depending experience

- Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on:
- Aerial lift devices
- Crane trucks
- Utility service vehicles
- Conduct annual ANSI inspections.
- Perform dielectric testing preparation and follow-up repairs.
- Diagnose and repair:
- Hydraulic leaks and component failures
- Electrical faults
- PTO systems
- Boom operation issues
- Stabilizer/outrigger systems
- Inspect and repair structural boom components.
- Complete work orders and maintenance records accurately.
- Ensure all equipment complies with OSHA, ANSI, DOT, and manufacturer standards.
- Perform road service and emergency repairs as needed.
- Assist with training junior technicians on aerial equipment maintenance and inspections.

Boom Truck Diesel Mechanic/Technician Requirements:
Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED.
- Technical school certificate in diesel, heavy equipment, or automotive technology preferred.
- 3 to 5 years of experience repairing and maintaining aerial lift equipment, utility trucks, cranes, digger derricks, or similar heavy equipment.
- Valid driver's license required.
- CDL Class A or B preferred.
- Ability to obtain or maintain required aerial equipment certifications.
- Advanced knowledge of:
- Hydraulic systems and controls
- Electrical and multiplex wiring systems
- Diesel and gasoline engines
- Pneumatic systems
- Mechanical drivetrains and PTO systems
- Boom and basket structural components
- Ability to read and interpret:
- Hydraulic schematics
- Wiring diagrams
- Service manuals
- ANSI inspection criteria
- Proficient with diagnostic software and electronic troubleshooting tools.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
