The Payroll Generalist supports a high-performance, high-care culture that operates with speed and urgency in delivering outcomes. They provide a high level of support to the field operations and corporate management teams by performing detailed and process-oriented work with excellence.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Weekly processing of payroll in ADP Work Force Now (WFN).
- Respond to payroll questions from employees and managers.
- Track SUI rates to ensure all employees are taxed correctly.
- Prepare and submit 401k Teamster report weekly.
- Respond and assist with government reporting.
- Manage and process PTO for non-union employees.
- Understand and process the various types of garnishments.
- Process union reports including dues, pension, welfare.
- Process unemployment claims.
- Record and maintain employee information such as personal data, compensation, benefits, tax data, attendance and termination date and reason.
- Assist with the implementation and training of new HR procedures.
- React to change productively and handle other essential tasks as assigned.

Payroll Specialist Qualifications:
Education and Experience:
- 3 years of payroll experience
- ADP Workforce Now payroll software REQUIRED
- Provenexperience pertaining to administration of union benefits
- Demonstrate sense of urgency and works well under pressure
- Self-motivated and goal-oriented, with the initiative to work independently
- Excellent team player and ability to collaborate
- Highly detail-oriented and accurate
- Strong ability to prioritize, multi-task, and meet deadlines
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to efficiently handle a variety of confidential information
- Solid integrity, responsibility, and accountability
